Authors: Arth Patel, Akash Patel, Shakti Thakkar
Abstract
Use of LED based lighting product has been increased after 2006 (invention of white LED). There are numbers of research are going on for improvement in energy efficient LED based lighting by reduce junction temperature. Hence, it is required to develop efficient thermal management. For good thermal management it is needed that the thermal resistance of luminaire body should be as low as possible. This can be achieving by increasing the area of heat dissipation, which increase the size of luminaire body. This is not the desired condition. Hence it is required to find other way like mechanical design, heat sink material, mounting arrangement and driver current etc, by which one can achieve energy efficient thermal management. That work will include the detail study of LED, LED luminaire, searching of energy efficient material for design and Development and also Simulate efficient thermal management for LED based street Light.
Dynamic Analysis of Partially Infilled RC Frames with Openings using Micro Modelling

Abstract
Masonry Infills (MI) can induce changes in the dynamic characteristics of RC frames due to its features and connection. In static analysis, the MI are treated as non-structural elements and only the contribution of its mass is considered whereas its structural parameters like strength and stiffness are generally ignored in practice, which leads to an unrealistic design. In this study, contribution of different configurations of partially infilled RC Frames with varying percentage of openings are analyzed. FE Analysis is carried out on partially infilled 2D RC Frames using micro modelling methods namely Gap Element and Link element. Natural frequency obtained from Shake Table tests are considered for validation of modal analysis results. Further the effect of openings provided at centre in partially infilled frames are studiedby varying the size of opening from 0% to 90%. Modal analysis is carried out on these models to obtain natural frequencies followed by Equivalent static and Response spectrum analyses for all the seismic zones as per IS 1893:(Part 1)-2016 to obtain base shear, displacements and storey drifts.
COMPARATIVE STUDY ON COLLAPSE RESISTANCE OF RC BUILDING STRUCTURE HAVING PLAN IRREGULARITY
Authors: Bhavik Patel, Dr. Bharat. J. Shah
Abstract
In this article, an attempt has been made to study the assessment of collapse resistance of RC building structures having plan irregularity. Moment resisting frame have been considered for the collapse analysis and the same have been designed as per IS:456-2000, IS:1893-2016 & IS:13920-2016. The Structure have been design using linear static method as mentioned in IS codes, and the same have been checked against collapse resistance using nonlinear static pushdown analysis. The models considered for studied are rectangular & L-shape in the plan. Typical three buildings are considered namely G+4 storey, G+7 storey & G+10 storey. For both rectangular and L-shape building, floor plate area has been maintaining same for better comparison on collapse load carrying capacity. Nonlinear behaviour of the elements is modelled using plastic hinges based on moment-curvature relationship as described in ASCE-41/FEMA 356 guidelines. The structure is pushed down monotonically to monitored failure behaviour. Four columns removal are considered for collapse assessment, potentially critical as defined in GSA guidelines. Column removal are considered on a time only, and the response of structure have been noted by pushdown curves.

Abstract
The purpose of the study was to find out the effect of Yogic Practices on Body Mass Index and Pulse Rate among Adolescent Girls. It was hypothesized that there would be a significantly improved on Body Mass Index and Pulse Rate among Adolescent Girls due to Yogic Practices group than the control group. To achieve the purpose of the study investigator selected 30 Adolescent Girls were randomly selected from Chennai district. Their age ranges from 12 to 17 years.
