Abstract
Abstract

LPG gas leakage and its detection is a major problem in the day to day lives. At present, wastage of gas is a major issue that needs to be encountered. By the rapid advancements taking place in the field of gas automation, the risks caused by these problems can be reduced. The proposed system focuses on a timer-based control for cooking purposes. It also features gas leakage detection and notification along with the provision for gas booking. IR sensor is used for detection of vessel which turns ON the system. Continuous monitoring is achieved using sensors like MQ6 gas sensor for LPG gas detection, temperature sensor for sensing overheat, a load sensor for continuous measurement of the gas available in the cylinder. When the readings of these sensors reach above the threshold value, the system automatically shuts down the gas valve, exhaust fan turns ON and SMS notification is sent to the user using GSM. The proposed system provides a safer environment for cooking activities. Safety measures are provided using sensors for the automatic closure of gas valve in order to avoid dangerous situations. An additional safety knob feature is also introduced for this purpose. It offers quick response time and accurate detection. This add-on feature in the work modifies the existing safe model installed in households

A hybrid methodology for optimizing MIG welding process parameters in joining of dissimilar metals

Authors: Mohammad Saif, Sumita Chaturvedi

Published: September 2026
Pages: 07-20
DOI: 10.23586/ij2026/V12.005118
Abstract
Abstract

In this paper application of Taguchi and Grey relational analysis methodologies in determining optimal process parameters for MIG Welding are presented. Taguchi method is widely used in designing the optimal experiments, while grey relation analysis is useful in decision making when multiple criteria’s are considered, this combination serves as an effective tool in determining the optimal parameters of the pro- cess. In the present work welding current, voltage, speed, bevel angle were considered as input parameters in joining two dissimilar metals (AISI1044 & AISI1018), as these influence the output characteristics like tensile strength and hardness, these parameters need to be optimized. Citation Analysis of References appended in Doctoral Theses In Library & Information Science Submitted to Shodhganga by Guahati University

Authors: Parismita Bora

Published: September 2026
Pages: 21-33
DOI: 10.23586/ij2026/V12.005119
Abstract
Abstract

Citation analysis is one of the popular techniques of bibliometric study that aids scholars in the identification of core journals in their respective domain. The present study is based on 2671 citations used in the 21 doctoral theses of the library and information science department of Guwahati University(GU) that are deposited to Shodhganga from 2016 to 2020. The purpose of this study is to determined the most favoured information source, authorship pattern, year-wise distribution of citations as well as to prepare a ranking list of core Journals in library and information science based on citation frequency of that journal. Data were gathered and analyzed based on pre-determined criteria. Finally, conclusion has been drawn from the data analyzed

Abstract
Abstract

In MANET routing protocols are categorized into three types among Proactive routing protocols is one and it is also called table-driven routing protocol, it strives to sustain uniform, current routing report within every pair of connections in the network by disseminating, proactively, route updates at fixed time intervals. The proactive routing addresses intended for ad hoc networks determined from the conventional routing protocols. In the table driven protocol family, nodes manage one or more routing tables about nodes in the system. This routing protocol will renew and improve the routing table report either regularly or correspondingly following an acknowledgement to change in the network topology. So in this paper exploring all routing protocols of table-driven like DSDV, WRP, OLSR, and OSPF

Abstract
Abstract

Throughout the pandemic, Social Media, Facebook, Instagram, You -Tube have not only connected people throughout but also have revolutionarily changed the way in which brands advertise and communicate. They have made brands more innovative and responsible in fulfilling their humanitarian goals and rising to the needs of fulfilling their social obligation. This research paper precisely highlights those brands that did not isolate from the reality on the ground. These brands rose to do their bit during this grim situation arising out of the covid 19 surge by choosing to allow commercial objectives take a backseat and communicate sensitively during this human tragedy. This paper is a study of those brands that made a difference through social media campaigns and showed their humane face during the pandemic

Abstract
Abstract

In the modern era of technology and with increasing dependency on smart techniques like mobile phone, there is requirement of solving daily life tasks in a quick and easy ways. The smart technology is becoming the need of hour to take control over the different tasks at home and industries. This paper is based on food detection system using Arduino. The system proposed is based on detection and recognition algorithms The main function of the algorithm is to automatically detect the smell and generates message to user that the food is spoiled. The paper deals with the technologies that use Arduino which employs the programming and sensors. The key feature of computer vision is Arduino for reasons like marketability & law abiding apps. and secondly after lot of research the accessibility of realistic technologies. This area of research finds a important place among different type of researchers and scientists like computer, food & different organizations. The microcontroller panel has the capability to perform functions which include interpreting inputs and outputs and make the sensor to activate. Generally food is stored in the refrigerator that lowers down the bacteria rate of production. Certain items which are perishable or not used for long term storage are to be detected and informed to the user. This paper is basically discussed to solve the food spoilage through sensors by continuously sensing the signals from the food and also sending the alert message to the registered mobile phone
