The Concepts of Animal Architecture
Authors: Gautami Prabhakar Bura, Dr. Parag Govardhan Narkhede
Abstract
Animals survive in the nature with their instincts and sustain for better living. Their life goes with the challenge in search of food and shelter. Every animal species have its own different kind of habitat. The main purpose of animal built structures is to build a protective home against weather conditions, to keep young ones safe, trap prey and communication. Either they construct one with their capabilities or find one in the nature. The animals that construct their own habitat are Animal constructive structures. There are unique concepts that can be inspired in architecture. The question is that what is the uniqueness of animal built forms? Architect and Designers get inspiration from various places in nature, animal architecture is also one of those to inspire. These concepts of animal architecture serve and influence in design, beauty, form, function and structural and design solutions as well. Animals build many beautiful structures which are not made of any modern technology, but by using material available in the nature. If wonders can be made by simple use of natural materials (mud, sticks, twigs), we have a wide range of technology and flexibility and could create more enormous structures. This research study is for understanding the concepts of animal architecture in which animal constructive structures are focused. These concepts can be further used in buildings, thus case studies done
Employment Opportunities in Watershed Development Programme in India – A Case Study of Pudukkottai District, Tamilnadu
Authors: T. RAVISANKAR
Abstract
India has about 18per cent of world’s human population and 15 per cent of livestock population to be supported from only 2.45 per cent of world’s geographical area and 1.5 per cent of forest and pasture land with the present population growth rate (1.9 percent per year), the population is expected to cross the 1.5 billion mark by 2050. The ever-expanding water demand of the India’s growing population and economy, combined with the impacts of climate change, are already making water scarcity a major threat in many parts of the country and with if we are witnessing severe damage to livelihoods, human health and ecosystems. India is one of the world’s leading crop producers over the years. There has been an increase in water consumption in the agricultural sector. The volume of water used for irrigation in India is expected to increase by 68.5 million liters between 2000 and 2025. Watershed development has been conceived basically as a strategy for protecting the livelihoods of the people inhabiting the fragile eco-systems experiencing soil erosion and moisture stress. The aim has been to ensure the availability of drinking water, fuel wood and fodder and raise income and employment for farmers and landless labourers through improvements in agricultural production and productivity. The government of India has been implementing watershed development programmers through different ministries the important ongoing watershed development programme DPAP, DDP, IWDP, RVP, NWDPRA, DANIDA, NABARD. and others, State – funded watershed development programs, etc. At present watershed development programmes are embarked as IWMP with new mode of implementation. An attempt has been made in this paper to analyse the impact on employment opportunities in watershed development programme. The study also explains the impact watershed development programme on cropping pattern and productivity and find out the employment and income of watershed
Innovative IOT based gesture recognition and health care monitoring system for elderly and physically challenged people
Authors: Sunita.S.Malaj
Abstract
In Today’s world many people are suffering from Physical disabilities and most of the physically disabled patients are dependent on care takers. A physical disability is a limitation on a person’s physical functioning, mobility or stamina. In extreme cases, the patient may be speech impaired which makes it difficult for the person to communicate with others and to express the needs. Providing solution to these inabilities is the prime motive of this work. The physically disabled persons require special assistance from care takers or other persons to lead their normal life and even at home it is not convenient for them to control the home appliances according to their wish. Apart from this, it is also difficult to continuously monitor the health of the patient. The aim of the work is to design and implement the device multi sensor- gesture-gestured based home automation system and develop MEMS based wheel chair control which is useful to physically disabled person, with the hand movement or the hand gesture recognition using MEMS technology the person can control the action of wheel chair. We have also added patient health monitoring system to continuously monitor the patients health and alert the guardian of the patient in case of emergency

Abstract
The availability of the water resource in a catchment depends upon the integrity of the land use, terrain and meteorological parameters such as rainfall, temperature, etc. KRS Catchment in the Cauvery basin covers an area of 10,957 Km2 was taken up for the study. The study was conducted in order to understand the changes of Land use /Land cover and their impacts on the watershed and to estimates the runoff calculation using SCS-CN method, which is mainly used for estimating infiltration characteristics of the watershed, based on the land use property and soil property and it is widely used as a simple method for predicting direct runoff volume for a given rainfall event. In the present study, the methodology for assessing the land use/ land cover changes and determination of runoff for KRS Catchment using Remote Sensing, GIS and SCS method was described. Analysis of the land use/land cover revealed the changes taken part from 2006 to 2017. Major changes were from forest and barren land to agriculture, built up and water bodies. The SW Monsoon rainfall and land use data were used along with the experimental data of soil classification for the estimation of the runoff for the study area. The result shows excess runoff and low infiltration take places mostly in the month of July followed by June, august and lowest runoff on the month of September. This will help for watersheds planning of various conservations measures
Shrinking Space of Academic Freedom in India – Violation of Human Right
Authors: Dr. Mrs. Anjali Gaidhane
Abstract
Academic freedom is considered to be one of the most important pillars of educational institutions. It is a prerequisite for quality education and essential for complete development of human personality. However, what is a matter of genuine concern is that academic freedom has been subjected to constant restraint from both governmental and non- governmental entities. This is shrinking space of academic freedom and is detrimental to overall cultural health of the society tarnishing reputation of the country internationally. Violation of academic freedom also leads to breach of human right as both are interlinked with one another and protection of human right is only possible if it is accompanied with academic freedom
Control the Arterial Mean Blood Pressure in Patient Monitoring System by Predictive Regulator
Authors: Nirmalya Chandra, Dr. Achintya Das
Abstract
Continuity in patient monitoring systems during the anaesthesia of Arterial Mean Blood Pressure is the crucial obligation for an anaesthetist. This medic assessing system is delusional due to the effect of various types of external and internal parameters. The evaluation of the assessment of Arterial Mean Blood pressure is trustworthy anaesthesia for an anaesthetist. The stability of the blood pressure of a patient body is affected before or after the surgical condition of the patient by the surgical disturbance excitation. In this article, we embedded a new technique applying a predictive regulator before the controller. The exploration of this regulator has reduced the deviation in between the predictive value of the feedback path and the referenced desired input so as to the system outcomes would follow the desired optimized trajectory
