Authors: Phani M Kasturi, Dr. K V Santhi sri
Abstract
Dengue is another infection caused by mosquitoes. It is a very common infection mainly in tropical and subtropical regions. In India, it is affected in all regions urban and rural. Dengue hemorrhagic fever is a very serious condition that has serious complications that leads to hospitalization and also death in some people especially in children. Second-time infection is dangerous but, one type of virus provides lifelong immunity. But the vaccine is available from 2015 for the age group between 9 to 45 who has previously dengue fever. According to the data by National Vector Borne Disease Control program, there is a drastic decrease in the death rate in India due to dengue fever. Carica papaya is a tropical plant, the leaves extract has medicinal and nutritional benefits and has a significant effect in Dengue fever patients in increasing platelet count. India has a strong culture of using herbs, and plant- based products in the treatment of various diseases. In the present study, thirty patients who are affected with dengue fever and platelets below 40,000 cmm, who are admitted to the different hospitals of Mumbai are selected. As per the doctor’s advice, they have consumed 30ml of Carica papaya leaf extract, evaluation study is done to find the efficacy of Carica papaya leaf extract in increment of platelets. In all the patients it is observed there is a significant increase in the platelet count from baseline to day 6. It is evident that the leaf extract has the efficacy to increase platelet count and will aid in controlling complications and hospital stay.
Effect of Cerium substitution on the structural and optical properties of Co-Mg mixed nano ferrites by citrate gel auto combustion method
Authors: Shyamsunder Goud, N. Venkatesh, D.Ravikumar, Boda Mahipal, P.Veera Somaiah
Abstract
From citrate gel auto combustion method Ce co-doped Co-Mg mixed nano ferrites synthesized. The synthesized samples structural characterizations have been done by XRD, SEM, EDAX, FTIR, UV-VIS. Spectroscopy. From x-ray diffraction studies, reveals that synthesized samples are in crystalline nature, as well as in nano meter region, which is 13.15nm to 23.13nm. Lattice parameter andX-ray density increases with increasing Ce Concentration on Co-Mg Mixed nanoferrites. Morphology of the synthesized samples was studied using scanning electron microscope (SEM).

Authors: Mahesh T. Kahar, Dr. Prabhakar K. Kashyap
Abstract
The aim of the present study is to find out Smartphone Addiction in youth. As Smartphone Addiction is one of the biggest non-drug addictions in human history and a common problem among people from children to old age. Youth of Ahmedabad city, Gujarat, in the age groupof 14 to 24 years were included in the study using random sampling technique. Among a total of 372 respondents of age 15 to 24 years, there were 155 (41.67 %) males and 217 (58.33 %) females. Most of the participants were studying in school and college. The tools used for data collection was Smartphone Addiction Scale SAS-VAM to assess the smartphone addiction in youth. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The study revealed that 168 participants were having average level of addiction that means 45.16 % of the participants were addicted to smartphone

Authors: BhavaniSwaminathan, Dr.E V Swaminathan, Dr.SushmaVijayan
Abstract
Aims – To evaluate the efficacy of 3 Dimensional approach by analysing the diet, exercise and meditation parameters of the adults suffering from Type 2 diabetes milletus. Methods – 100 (both men and women), (35 study & 65 control group) attending the online program across PAN India. They were introduced to a complimentary therapy that would work on the reversal of their Type 2 diabetes. Results – Blood reports showed significant changes in the study group and thereby leading to healthy and happy life. Conclusions – The training of psychoneurobics and Rajyoga meditation, listening to Murli vegetarian diet, exercise & pranayam helped the diabetics in overall wellbeing.
